Fabric Tufted Dining Chairs That Won't Break The Bank
Have you ever searched and searched for that perfect dining chair for your formal dining room but thought to yourself, “They want how much for one chair?”
This is the situation I found myself in before the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays last year. You see, my dining room is the first impression when people walk through my door and I want it to be a special one. Considering most homes built today are formal dining room exempt. I suppose it depends on your preference, but I LOVE my formal dining room. In my opinion, it can add so much character to a space especially around the holidays AND as a bonus gives you extra room to entertain which is needed in our home.
Several years ago, my hubby and I scored the perfect dining table sitting in a discounted furniture section at our local furniture store. It was such a good buy, I couldn’t pass it up. The only problem, NO CHAIRS! But the table was such a GREAT price, I just had to buy it! I know ya’ll know what I’m talking about, NEVER pass up a good deal when you see one. So, I scooped it right up and away we went!
Immediately my mind was churning up ideas for dining room chairs since we were starting from scratch. Especially in our early 20’s and not making much of an income yet, I was searching for another DEAL! I looked and searched high and low for chairs that would match my black table with a wood grain top. I checked local yard sales, classifieds, you name it! This was before Facebook yard sale groups were even thought about. To no avail, I had no luck finding what I was looking for.
A few days later, the hubs and I were at Wal-Mart and I thought to myself, let me look and see what they have. Much to my surprise, I found the perfect dining chair at the perfect price. I could not believe my eyes, 2 chairs for around $50.00! You mean, I can get all 6 chairs that I need for $150.00!!! Well, you know me, couldn’t pass up a good deal again! We grabbed 3 boxes and headed home.
We assembled the chairs, which was fairly easy and then the MAGIC happened! It was perfect and just what I was looking for. I couldn’t have been more pleased!

Fast forward many, many years and here we were last November searching for something more! Not to mention, the chairs from Wal-Mart were starting to show some age and just not as sturdy as they once were. I had always wanted fabric tufted dining chairs. They are so elegant and classy and just what I needed to transform my space once again. See, when you are a home décor enthusiast like me your home just keeps evolving because you can’t keep your hands off of stuff! LOL
Once again, I searched everywhere trying to find the perfect fabric tufted dining chairs that wouldn’t break the bank. We DO have a 6-year-old now so saving money is a top priority! After searching for weeks, I just couldn’t find the perfect chair. Until one day, I had ample time and made it a priority I was going to find my chairs!
Thank goodness for Amazon is all I can say!
I ran across these puppies https://amzn.to/2BXDj9r on Amazon and once again a STEAL of a DEAL! $109.99 for a set of 2 fabric tufted chairs! NO WAY! You guys, I was blown away! I could get all 6 chairs for just under $350.00! Let’s just say I added 3 sets to my cart, checked with the hubs (in a convincing way) and paid the tab! I could not wait for my chairs to come!
Fast forward a week or so, my chairs arrived in perfect condition. They do require some assembly, but I am happy to report, I did it all by myself while watching T.V. in my living room floor. The assembly is so EASY and all it takes is a small hex key that comes with the chair packaging. It literally took me around an hour to assemble all 6 chairs.

Ya’ll, I am so happy with how they turned out and how they work so well in my space! A small tid bit worth mentioning, I did go a step further and purchase this Scotchgard https://amzn.to/2EDC4Oq and sprayed all 6 chairs so they would be protected from spills/food since they are dining room chairs. You don’t have to do this, but I would highly recommend it! It makes taking care of spills/spots a breeze!
P.S. I know what you’re thinking, I just can’t with the fabric chairs! To keep your sanity, just a small tip from me (a mom with a little one), this stuff right here (Folex Carpet Spot Remover)
equals AMAZING! We have lots of carpet in our home so it gets used quite a bit as you can imagine, BUT it works on upholstery too! It will literally take out any stain you have no matter how OLD or NEW! Trust me on this, it works! I have it on hand all the time, so I’m never worried about my fabric chairs.
My dining room is now complete except for a new paint color for my walls! Another story for another day but I will be sure to include you guys every step of the way!
